Successful Managers Have People Who Do Not Wish Them a Broken Leg
Nowadays, everyone wants to be a manager. From my observations many people are not quite familiar with the real its real meaning. Everyone wants to have more privileges that are inevitably connected to the position. However, what does it mean to be a manager?
The manager is not a bully. The time of the “I am always right” attitude should be gone. We live in a highly competitive world. In addition, information is the most powerful weapon. So, if you want to be successful, you have to learn to listen to the others.
Smart managers hire smarter people. If you suffer from an inferiority complex, you’d better deal with your issues before getting in charge of others. Progress is easily achieved through dialogue and new ideas. These new ideas, however, could not come if you hire people who have fewer skills than you do, only to prove that you are the best.
Successful managers have people who do not wish them a broken leg. Your life can be so much easier if you do not make your people angry with you: simple but effective. Do not behave as if you are the center of the universe. Be polite and kind to the others. I have written in another article "help the others so that they can help you". There are many ways a job to be done, choose the one that will make people satisfied with their work. Because the happier the employees are, the more work they do.
