What Is Wrong With Alibaba, Whatsapp And The World?

<a href='http://morningbiznews.com/en/search/Alibaba'>Alibaba</a>, <a href='http://morningbiznews.com/en/search/Jack+Ma'>Jack Ma</a>, <a href='http://morningbiznews.com/en/search/Whatsapp'>Whatsapp</a>, <a href='http://morningbiznews.com/en/search/Leadership'>Leadership</a>, <a href='http://morningbiznews.com/en/search/Nick+Shopov'>Nick Shopov</a>

Everybody is talking about #Alibaba and #JackMa turns to be the next entrepreneurs' idol for but I want to share another perspective here. $186,000,000,000 is the value of a company that does not own a product and its core disruptive idea is to help companies sell cheap fake commodities to other people that most probably don't even need them and (if they do, they can get them by many other ways.)

Earlier this year #whatsapp was sold for $19,000,000,000 and by any means this application offers just another standard way to send and receive messages, one of the hundreds such applications out there

I believe leaders should focus on real world problems and investors should spend their money responsibly on technologies and media that can change the world to a better place. I am afraid that there is too much publicity for counting zeros in sales and too little for life changing ideas.
